Fränder （フレンデル）、Sutari（スタリ）と一緒に録音 |
2018年に Real & True Live Series にスウェーデンのバンド Fränder （フレンデル）は出演したが、その時メンバーから、バンドの Daniel、Natasja と Gabbi Dluzewska（ ドゥジャスカ ）/Dluzewski （ドゥジャスキー ）の三人は実は祖先がポーランド貴族だと聞いた。父親の世代の時にポーランドから移ってきたそうだ。経営していた工場や財産は失ったという。
その Fränder がポーランドのワールドミュージック・アーティストの Sutari （スタリ）とコラボレーションを行った。これは元々 “Across the Baltic Sea” （バルト海を渡って）というプロジェクトが昨年 3月に予定されていたが、コロナ禍で大幅縮小を余儀なくされ、曲を一緒に作り録音するという形となった（最初は様々な伝統曲をベースに一緒に作りながら、北方の国々をツアーして巡り録音するというものだった）。最初に録音したのが、ポーランドの伝統曲に基づきつつ、スウェーデンの伝統的メロディ―である polskaを使ったものだ。曲は 2019年 12月にワルシャワで録音された。
